WINGS OF HOPE IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF SAINT PAUL

Get up at dawn, took the train to Rome, on the invitation of our sisters who accompany them in their journey of young missionari.Il group "Wings of Hope" was born two years ago the meeting between the dream of some girls camiglianesi to do missionary experience in Africa and the desire of our sisters to share with them the richness of the missionary charism of the Congregation, They lived together a training course, two of them have made the leap with experience in Togo. The following year, the group has expanded and consolidated in its missionary identity. Eager to
fraternal coexistence and further development, some have accepted the proposal to come to Rome to follow in the footsteps of St. Paul, giant of the mission, making the dual route each pilgrim geographic and interior.
The first day was dedicated to make contact with St. Paul through various media and experiences: documentaries, films on the life of the great saint, lecture by an actress in love with the words of some texts ... We then made the first step of the geographic location with a Eucharistic celebration in St. Paul's Church in the Rule, the historic site of the prison of Saint Paul in Rome. That first day, she took along his tone of fraternization and listening to what St. Paul can say to a young man of our times.
Saturday, boys and sisters are all gone by missionaries to the three fountains, site of the martyrdom of St. Paul. Father Franco In Campo, cmf, invited us to an inner journey in three days / three places to three texts of St. Paul / three themes for reflection or three steps to take to follow in the footsteps of the saint /: the struggle with sin, Victory in Christ, life with the Spirit.
After this intense time, a visit to the Basilica of San Paolo, has opened to the power of significant architteturali and pictorial beauty of the basilica built over the grave of the apostle.
Sunday, we went to Mass at the Vatican in St. Peter's Basilica to test the depth dimension of the Church so dear to the apostle to the Gentiles: the Roman Church as the starting point of the missionary mandate constant referencing of the Gospel message and Catholic fraternal communion of the visible place.
From what young people have expressed after these three days, has remained impressed in their two aspects: the force that animated the missionary St. Paul in the tests as an incentive for their missionary life, the strength of being the Church and to share Christ in the diversity of experiences and cultures as wealth for every member of the body of Christ.
